Update 4 Released Development Resumed



I'm sure anyone who's read the devlogs here has noticed that updates petered out some time in 2021. There was a good reason for that. I got burned out in general and sick of working on T-SOL at the time. However, that time has passed and I've once again started work on T-SOL and the result of that work is here! You can download it right now if you'd like!

I'll be announcing content for the next update in brief here and in a bit more detail on my twitch channel so stay tuned.

Changes and Additions:

  • A second branch to the Cyberskull Factory
  • A new miniboss
  • New and improved enemies
  • Enemies now respawn as you explore
  • Dropped items are automatically collected
  • Puzzle status is now retained in saved games
  • Some elements in the Cyberskull factory are signposted better
  • Small layout changes to the Cyberskull factory

Bugs Fixed:

  • Saul floating over slopes
  • Saul sometimes staying in the fall animation (not fully fixed though)
  • Some other cases of janky movement
  • Player movement not keeping up with moving platforms
  • Deleting saved games possibly broken (fixed)
  • Some optimization of lighting to improve framerate
  • Boosting in certain (new) locations causing death by crushing

Known Issues

  • A number of things that should have sound effects don't have them yet
  • On rare occasion Saul is crushed on jumping or boosting into a thin platform
  • Weird lighting artifacts in some places making silhouettes of platforms appear inside walls
  • Multiple issues with the opening cutscene and its transition into gameplay
  • Saul "lands" on surfaces without actually falling
  • Slopes aren't actually working yet
  • Railroading in first area isn't in place
  • Can shoot inside of walls
  • Possible zip in one section
