After the Jam: First Update Plans


I'm sure T-SOL ending with a "DEMO COMPLETE" has made it seem like we intend to do more with the project. If you thought that, you were correct!

Our initial plan is to fix stuff that we didn't have a chance to fix in the jam. More content is coming as well. No timeline yet since I have no idea about what sort of pace of work we are going to be maintaining now that the jam is over. Ideally I'd like to be posting further updates every two weeks but between working full time and that-which-shall-not-be-named things are a bit touch and go.

Upcoming Content Updates

  • Add teaser areas for the third and fourth zones
  • Add artwork implying location of a fifth zone
  • Improve navigation of Subterrainia by adding background art to identify different sub-areas within it
  • A little more stuff in the crash site
  • Additional animations for aiming while idle and moving

Upcoming Fixes

  • Jitter when landing on the corner of a  platform
  • Rare zip when bonking on the corner of some platforms
  • Camera is still more swingy than is ideal
  • Bullets passing through an invincible enemy instead of hitting it
  • Enemy sometimes attacks without telegraphing first
  • Able to access upper right exit from Subterrainia (2nd zone) without a needed item
  • Create proper fixes for bugs hidden by smoke and mirrors
  • Some sounds are too quiet
  • Black outlines on the player character aren't black enough
